Warehouse Associate

Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Thrift World – Independence, Missouri
Pay: $18.00 per hour + Bonus Potential
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview

Thrift World is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team in Independence, Missouri. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. You will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing goods, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

This role is essential in supporting the overall mission of Thrift World by ensuring efficient product flow and accurate processing of donations and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and organize donated goods and merchandise

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently

  • Sort, palletize, and prepare items for storage, transport, or retail distribution

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas

  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control tasks

  • Comply with all safety protocols and warehouse procedures

  • Work closely with management and team members to meet operational deadlines

  • Assist with lifting or moving heavier items (up to 50 lbs)

Requirements

  • Forklift experience is required (valid certification preferred)

  • Must pass a background check

  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shift in a physically demanding environment

  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or production experience is preferred

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled setting (hot/cold conditions)
